Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
Own the patient-facing experience that is Elevare: the native mobile surface where mothers meet Vera, where care plans adapt daily, and where catching a risk early has to feel effortless on a phone, even in a rural county with a weak signal. You'll own the iOS app we ship today, lead its expansion to Android, and work across the stack into our APIs and the care-team dashboard. Work directly with our founding engineer, own significant parts of the product end to end, and set the patterns the rest of the team builds on.
Elevare is the clinical AI infrastructure for maternal health, extending care before intake, between OB visits, and after discharge, from pre-conception through one year postpartum. We pair an agentic AI orchestrator with Vera, a multilingual virtual clinician, and a clinician-on-the-loop model, built on ACOG, AWHONN, and HEDIS protocol alignment and integrated with Epic and Cerner over FHIR.
- Own the patient-facing mobile app. Today that's a native iOS app (Swift / SwiftUI): chat with Vera, adaptive care plans, signal tracking, and health-data integration. You'll own it end to end and raise the bar on architecture, performance, and reliability.
- Lead the Android expansion. Bringing the patient experience to Android is a near-term priority. You'll help choose the path and build it without regressing the iOS experience.
- Work full stack when the product needs it, across our APIs, services, and data flows to ship a feature whole.
- Contribute to the care-team dashboard, a React / TypeScript web app where clinicians triage flags and follow patients.
- Build the surfaces for passive screening and risk workflows that surface early signals to the clinician-on-the-loop.
- Integrate device and, soon, clinical data. Today we ingest wearable data via Apple Health. On the roadmap: broader wearable integrations and clinical data from EHRs over FHIR / SMART on FHIR (Epic, Cerner), all work you'll help build out.
- Help take Vera multilingual. The experience is English today; a true multilingual experience is a planned direction, and the mobile surface is where it has to feel effortless.
- Ship inside a HIPAA-aligned environment, treating PHI handling, auditability, and security as first-class. Use AI across your workflow to move faster.
- 5+ years building production mobile and/or full-stack applications, with real depth on at least one mobile platform.
- Strong native mobile experience: iOS (Swift / SwiftUI) strongly preferred, or deep Android/Kotlin experience with genuine willingness to own a SwiftUI codebase. Experience shipping or porting an app across iOS and Android is a major plus.
- Genuinely full stack: comfortable owning a feature from mobile UI through API and data layer. Working knowledge of React / TypeScript for the dashboard is a plus.
- Real opinions on mobile performance, accessibility, offline/low-bandwidth behavior, and state management.
- AI-native: you use AI tools daily in your engineering workflow and know where they help and where they don't.
- High ownership, comfortable with ambiguity and ground-floor building; you set patterns rather than wait for them.
- Healthcare, FHIR, or HIPAA experience a strong plus; wearables, real-time data, or agentic systems a plus.
